CWWC
The Contemporary Women Writers’ Club
in association with Queenbee Press

Queenbee Press has been set up as a collaborative, print on demand publishing house for contemporary women writers by two established novelists (Lucy Cavendish, Penguin, Miranda Glover, Transworld), a BBC producer, Jennie Walmsley and a journalist, Rachel Jackson. Our second short story collection, Ten Past Eight, launched on April 17th. Our first collection, The Leap Year, hit number 3 on the Amazon bestseller lists for the short story in 2009 and got wide media attention.
In 2011 we created an online writing community www.CWWC.co.uk to support our work and to encourage other writers to find new ways to publish (print on demand, digital, etc). Collaboration is our cornerstone. We are building key partnerships into our site. We launched in January 2011 with a bespoke memoir writing programme for the National Federation of Women's Institutes.
We will publish a first Memoir Journal with the NFWI in December 2011 (53 stories).
